Sakai Takayuki Rinka Ginsan Sakimaru Takohiki 390 mm is an exquisite Japanese knife series, carefully forged and sharpened by skilled craftsmen in Sakai. The blade is made of Ginsan (Silver #3) steel, which provides a sharpness and edge retention reminiscent of carbon steel, but with rust resistance.
The mirror-polished blade has an elegant curved shape, inspired by traditional Japanese swords. A unique haiku is hand-engraved on the blade: "Miru-hito-ni, mono-no aware-wo shirazureba tuki-ya konoyo-no kagami naruramu," which means: "The moon can serve as a mirror of this world, contemplating all that is perishable on earth."
A unique collector's item that can last for generations. Forged by Shogo Yamatsuka in Sakai, Osaka.
