In the workshop
Build your own knife.
You choose the blade, handle, engraving and saya together with one of us. We assemble the knife and sharpen it by hand in the workshop in Trondheim.
Four choices
1. The blade
The shape and length decide what the knife will be good at. Choose from the shelf in the shop, or bring a knife you are already fond of.
2. The handle
Ebony, maple, urushi or Saisei IRO in Norwegian recycled plastic. The handle decides the weight and how the knife sits in your hand.
3. The engraving
A name, a date or a logo, engraved on the blade here in the workshop.
4. The sheath
A wooden saya, made for that exact blade.
From the workshop

Mahogany saya
For a bunka from Hatsukokoro the workshop made a mahogany saya, closed with a brass pin. There is only one like it.

For an occasion
Tell us who it is for
For yourself or as a gift. Tell us a little about the person who will use the knife and what they cook, and we will suggest a blade, handle and engraving.
When the knife is finished, it is sharpened and packed. You collect it from the shop at Teknostallen, or we send it. If you do not live in Trondheim, we take the conversation by phone or video.

Tell us briefly what you have in mind, and we will take it from there.
