Description

Udon bowl from the Black Pearl series. Grey glaze at the bottom meets a glossy black rim, and the transition looks like small drops. From a distance it looks like metal.

Ceramic from Gifu in Japan. Gifu is the home of Mino ware (minoyaki). Each piece is checked and glazed by hand, so the glaze settles a little differently on each one.

Deep enough for udon in broth, poke or a generous portion of soup.
