Description
Marabú charcoal from Todobrasa is a dense, clean-burning high-quality charcoal for high heat, long burning time and good control on the grill. It is made from marabú, a hardwood that grows wild in Cuba, and gives a steady glow with few sparks, little smoke and a mild aroma that keeps the focus on the ingredients.
This makes it well suited to Japanese charcoal grilling, konro and shichirin, where even heat and precision matter more than big flames. Good for yakitori, seafood, vegetables and thin cuts of meat.
Marabú is also a more sustainable choice of charcoal. The tree is considered an invasive species in Cuba and is cleared to free up land for nature and farming. The charcoal makes responsible use of this raw material and gives you a clean, high-quality charcoal without unnecessary additives.
We recommend lighting it with Jealous Devil BOOM! Firestarters firelighters.
