Description
Rice bowl from the Wabi Sabi series, a donburi bowl.
Ceramic from Gifu in Japan. Gifu is the home of Mino ware (minoyaki). Each piece is checked and glazed by hand, so the glaze settles a little differently on each one.
Donburi is the name of both the bowl and the dish: hot rice in a deep bowl with the topping laid straight on top. Well-known versions are gyudon (thin slices of beef), oyakodon (chicken and egg) and katsudon (breaded pork cutlet). The bowl is deep enough for sauce and stock to soak into the rice, and it also suits side dishes.
- Volume: 450 ml, diameter 15 cm
- Weight: 0.4 kg
- Dishwasher and microwave safe. Not for the oven.
