Description

This cutting board is part of Tomatosharp's own range, made by hand for us by a small craft workshop that works with precision and lasting quality.

The board is made from solid end grain ash, a light, hard-wearing wood with a natural grain. The end grain construction gives a solid cutting surface that is gentle on sharp kitchen knives.

With a thickness of 3.5 cm, a size of 30 x 20 cm and soft rubber feet, you get a stable work surface with good weight and a secure grip.

Each board has its own colour, grain and character. A solid wood cutting board made for daily use, good care and a long life.

To keep the wood's natural sheen and protect it from moisture, treat it regularly with cutting board oil or a neutral wood oil.

Tomatosharp

We put the Tomatosharp name on what we make and do ourselves: sharpening services from the workshop in Trondheim, leather strops and our own equipment. Developed in our own workshop and used by us every day.

Care and maintenance

Scrape off the leftovers, wash the board with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, and dry it straight away.

Stand the board on its edge so both sides dry evenly and it stays flat. Never in the dishwasher: the heat dissolves the glue joints. Do not leave it in water either, or the wood will warp or crack as it dries. Oil a new board once a week for the first month, then once a month, with food-safe mineral oil. Let the oil soak in overnight and wipe off what is left.
