Description

The Kaname series is part of the Seki Magoroku brand and technically belongs to the family of 3-layer steel knives. This family, together with the whole Damascus knife range, represents a high-quality class.

The detailed 3-layer blade with a satin finish and highly polished edge completes the look of the knife and gives good function and sharpness. The knife's shape, "kiritsuke", is known for its pointed tip, which makes it easier to make incisions and precise cuts. Kiritsuke knives are versatile in the kitchen, and the three blade sizes in the Kaname series make them a good partner for demanding dishes and delicate ingredients.

About the knife type: Petty (utility knife)

A petty is a versatile, precise knife. It is smaller than a chef's knife and has a narrow, pointed blade. It is easy to manoeuvre and suits detailed slicing, peeling and trimming of fruit, vegetables and smaller pieces of meat and fish. It works very well for mincing onion and garlic.

With the 'kiritsuke' shape, the knife gets an even sharper tip, which makes it easier to score what you cut, with even more precision.

About the steel: High-Carbon Stainless Steel

An alloy that combines high carbon content with stainless properties, balancing sharpness with corrosion resistance. Easy to maintain and well suited to daily use.

Hardness 61-62 HRC · Care: easy care. HRC is the hardness of the steel: harder holds the edge longer, softer is easier to sharpen.
