About the knife type: Bread knife

A bread knife is made for cutting through bread without squashing it or spoiling the texture. Unlike other knives, it has a long, serrated blade that cuts through the crust without pressing the bread down.

You usually use a bread knife with a sawing movement, which makes it easy to get even slices without squashing or crumbling the bread. The serrated edge also cuts through brittle crusts without damaging the softer crumb.

A bread knife is useful for more than bread. You can use it to cut delicate fruit and vegetables with thin skins or soft textures, such as tomatoes or ripe fruit.

About the steel: High-Carbon Stainless Steel

An alloy that combines high carbon content with stainless properties, balancing sharpness with corrosion resistance. Easy to maintain and well suited to daily use.
